Dr. Seuss is a pen name of an American children's author, (Theodor Seuss Geisel). He is known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 books including the most popular children's books of all time. His most famous book is The Cat in the Hat translated into Polish as Kot Prot. 

His books are translated into more than 20 languages. This edition is a Polish translation by famous Polish poet and translator, Stanisław Barańczak.
