Polish translations of popular English books will encourage your bilingual child to read in Polish.

We know from experience that children growing up abroad enjoy reading in English, but not always in Polish. Therefore, we suggest choosing titles children are familiar with from English school, such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the Mr. Men and Little Miss Sunshine series, Dr. Seuss, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Winnie the Pooh.

These well-known titles from school or the English library are very popular with English children, and their Polish translations will attract the attention of bilingual children and encourage them to read in Polish. These bilingual books have been tested by teachers, parents, and children for whom Polish is a minority language.

Contemporary bilingual literature by the latest authors who have firsthand experience with bilingualism.

Our bookstore collaborates with new bilingual authors who have appeared on the market in recent years. Authors who understand bilingualism through their own experience as emigrants are meeting the demand for such literature specifically for children of emigrants.

Anna Nassif lives in Australia and wrote the story of the pierogi Włodek to introduce her children to Polish traditions, customs, and cuisine. In "His Secret Power," the author demonstrates that bilingualism is a superpower and encourages children to be proud of their second language skills—a message that, as a bilingual bookstore, we wholeheartedly support.

Anna Hermann, a teacher from a Polish community school in the UK, has written and self-published a collection of poems in Polish and English, "Ani's Garden." This is the first bilingual book on the British market written and published by a Polish Saturday school teacher. The poems can be read in Polish and then in English, or vice versa, which works well for bilingual children whose Polish is a second language.
