I Read Myself, Level 1, Putting Words Together is the first level of a series for learning to read in Polish.

Reading in Polish is often very difficult for children due to digraphs, embellishments, and the specific nature of the Polish language, which is not easy. Even children who enjoy reading in English struggle with reading in Polish. Therefore, it is crucial to regularly reach for Polish books every day, for pleasure.

To encourage children to read, gradually increase the difficulty level and adapt the reading level to their language level.

The "I Read Myself" series is adapted to the language level of children just beginning their reading adventure. We recommend it for bilingual children who are familiar with the reading level from English school. All books also come with attractive stickers and a certificate, and the "I Read Myself! I Can Be Who I Want!" campaign encourages regular reading for pleasure, and many of the materials created by the organizer can be wonderfully used in lessons at Polish schools.

Created by top Polish authors and illustrators, consulted and recommended by experts, the series gains the trust of parents and brings joy to children. I Read to Myself Level 1 "Składam słowa" (I Put Words Together) is a great way to start learning to read. It contains little text, and simple sentences don't contain digraphs or embellishments. Funny stories and a very large font make reading easier, and the words in boxes on the sides of the pages serve as a tool for practicing phonics. Large illustrations by top Polish authors harmoniously complement the text.

I Read to Myself Level 2 features longer, complex sentences with elements of dialogue and syllabication exercises.

I Read to Myself Level 3 is a great way to consolidate reading skills. Engaging stories, written in longer and more complex sentences, use all Polish sounds. A glossary of more difficult words is included at the end of the book.

For master readers, we recommend the last, most challenging level, Czym z bakcylem (I Read with Bakcylem).
