For children born or raised outside Poland, Polish is often a foreign language. If a child has not had contact with Polish at an early age, learning Polish is often very challenging, and in such cases, teaching Polish should be approached as a foreign language.
For children who do not speak or read Polish, it is recommended to start at the easiest level, i.e., Level A (basic level).
With Ania Through Poland - bilingual textbooks for children who do not yet speak Polish
The With Ania Through Poland series was developed specifically for children who are beginning their Polish language adventure and are learning Polish as a foreign language. It is a series of textbooks, exercises, and materials for teachers (a methodological guide containing lesson plans and printable materials) at the basic level, i.e., Level A.
The instructions have been prepared bilingually, in English and Polish, to facilitate learning for children who do not yet speak Polish. This format will make it easier for children to learn new vocabulary and become familiar with it.
