Mr. Forgetful has a short memory. This is not particularly useful. One day he has to remember a message for Farmer Fields to say that there is a sheep loose in the lane. Can he remember the message? Sadly, no for he says "there is a goose asleep in the rain".
Children learning Polish as a second language in UK and other countries outside of Poland are often happy to read English but reading in Polish is not always easy for them.
