Leveled books are recommended for bilingual children learning to read in Polish.

Reading in Polish is often very difficult for children due to digraphs, emphases, and the specific nature of the Polish language, which is not easy. Even children who enjoy reading in English struggle with reading in Polish. Therefore, it is crucial to regularly read Polish books daily, for pleasure.

To encourage a child to read, gradually increase the difficulty level and adapt the reading level to the child's language level.

The "Czytam sobie" (I'm Reading Myself) series is recommended for bilingual children who are familiar with leveled reading from English school. A level adapted to the child's reading ability helps develop reading courage, and reading a single, short book in Polish is a source of pride.

Created by leading Polish authors and illustrators, consulted and recommended by experts, this series gains parents' trust and brings joy to children.

Level 1 is a great start to learning to read. It contains little text, and simple sentences do not contain digraphs or emphases. Funny stories and a very large font make reading easier, and the words in boxes on the sides of the pages are used for phonics practice.

Level 2 contains longer, complex sentences with elements of dialogue and syllabication exercises.

Level 3, "I Swallow Pages," contains 2500-2800 words and is an excellent way to consolidate reading skills. Engaging stories, written in longer and more complex sentences, use all Polish sounds. A glossary of more difficult words is included at the end of the book. Black-and-white illustrations and a predominance of text over illustrations create the feeling of being immersed in a real book.

And for expert readers, we recommend the final, most challenging level, "Czym z bakcylem" (I'm Reading with the Baxter).
