"My Name Is..." is a series for children and young adults presenting the biographies of well-known figures from around the globe with universal significance.
In each book, a person who has played a significant role over the centuries in various fields: science, art, culture, literature, or the history of ideas, tells us in a first-person, accessible and engaging way about their life and achievements, as well as the times in which they lived.
The series features stories from the most eminent figures whose importance to our culture and civilization is invaluable. Among the heroes are Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Nicolaus Copernicus, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, and Vincent van Gogh.
You'll find books about famous Poles written especially for children in a very accessible format and using simple language.
For children living abroad, learning about Polish history can sometimes be a challenge. Therefore, we recommend books and playful learning materials that will help bilingual children learn about Polish history and the complex history of the Polish state. These are useful for holidays such as November 11th – National Independence Day, Independence Day, and the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution.
In our bookstore, you'll find books for all ages – for the youngest, we recommend learning through play, coloring pages, stickers, and rhymes, and for older children, we offer illustrated series that introduce the history of Poland and profiles of famous Poles.
We especially recommend the following series and categories:
Learning about Polish history – here you'll find a wide selection of materials useful for conversations about Poland
Learning about Polish culture – learn about Polish customs and traditions
