The workbook is a supplement to the textbook "Third Grade – I'm Coming!".
Similarly to the textbook, it contain topics from the Polish language, Polish history, Polish geography and traditions and customs intertwined so as to naturally introduce the student to new topics.
Thanks to the proposed exercises, the student consolidates the ability to write calligraphy, basic grammar issues and spelling rules. They develop the ability to read with comprehension, create descriptions and first stories. They deepen their knowledge of the history and geography of Poland through various tasks – crosswords, rebuses, riddles and others.
In Polish history lessons, the student continues, started in grades 1 and 2, learning about Polish legends, outstanding Poles as well as the beginnings of the Polish state and the figures of Polish princes and kings. The topics are enriched with illustrations made by children, which additionally stimulate the child's visual functions and stimulate the imagination.
Polish geography topics include colourful studies of nature and basic geographical information. They are enriched with poems to facilitate the acquisition of difficult topics. During conversations about traditions and customs, the student learns about basic Polish customs and traditions related to them, and also discusses several basic psychological issues, the explanation of which at an early stage of life increases the chance of proper emotional development of a young person.
Just like in the second grade, on the journey through the third grade, students are accompanied by their peers - heroes of short stories appearing on various topics. By reading them, children identify with their friends from the stories, and thus more easily acquire the knowledge they are learning.
The textbook continues the simultaneous-sequential method (in some texts). Thanks to it, students with speech therapy or dyslexia problems will have the opportunity to develop their reading skills.
Different font colours were also used depending on the level of difficulty of the text. These topics are additionally marked with appropriate symbols.
