Level 2, I can put sentences together

Leveled reading is an excellent solution for bilingual children learning to read in Polish.

Reading in Polish is often very difficult for children due to digraphs, emphases, and the specific nature of the Polish language, which is not easy. Even children who enjoy reading in English struggle with reading in Polish. That's why it's so important to regularly reach for Polish books every day, for pleasure.

To encourage a child to read, gradually increase the difficulty level and adapt the reading level to the child's language level.

The "Czytam sobie" (I'm Reading Myself) series is recommended for bilingual children who are familiar with leveled reading from English school. The level, adapted to the child's reading ability, helps develop reading courage, and reading a single, short book in Polish is a source of pride.

Created by leading Polish authors and illustrators, consulted and recommended by experts, the series gains parents' trust and brings joy to children.

Level 1 is a great start to learning to read. It contains little text, and simple sentences do not contain digraphs or emphases. Funny stories and a very large font make reading easier, and words in frames on the sides of the pages are used for practicing phonics.

Level 2, "I'm Making Sentences," familiarizes children with longer sentences and introduces elements of dialogue. The very large font makes reading easier, and frames next to the text allow for practicing syllabication. The texts consist of 800-900 words, 23 basic sounds, and the "h" sound.

Level 3 is a great way to consolidate reading skills. Engaging stories, written in longer and more complex sentences, use all Polish sounds. A glossary of more difficult words is included at the end of the book.

For master readers, we recommend the last, most difficult level, "I'm Reading with the Bakcyl."
