Alicja Nawara's textbooks for Polish geography in Polish schools were developed based on the core curriculum of the Ministry of National Education for students studying abroad.
The author's main goal is to familiarize Polish students with the geography of Poland and to foster a love of their homeland. Teaching Polish geography provides opportunities for Polish language development, which is a fundamental goal of Polish schools abroad. The textbooks are intended for classes of up to 15 students with varying intellectual and linguistic abilities. The program provides approximately 15 hours of geography instruction per year.
Geographical Journeys – a textbook for Polish diaspora secondary schools, to be used over 3 years
Geographical Journeys is a Polish geography textbook by Alicja Nawara, Danuta Schneider, and Marta Wierzbicka-Machnica for Polish diaspora secondary schools from first grade to the final exam. Based on correlations with Polish language and history teaching, it is written in an engaging and informative manner, introducing students to the charms of Poland and the tourist attractions that demonstrate its global standing. The chapter "Geographical Traces of Polish Creators" places particular emphasis on the places where selected creators lived and worked. The chapter "Historical and Geographical Regions of Poland" presents the history of the regions, their tourist attractions, and literary traces, presented in an accessible, engaging graphic design.
Teaching aids as an excellent supplement to geography lessons in Polish diaspora schools and for independent study at school.
We also recommend numerous aids, both in book form and in the form of games, which provide an additional element to consolidate knowledge and enrich lessons. Here you will find geographical atlases, maps, games, and sticker albums for younger children.
