We offer a wide selection of textbooks for teaching Polish as a foreign language at various levels and for various grades.
These textbooks contain materials aligned with the core curriculum for students studying abroad and were developed specifically for Saturday schools.
Textbooks for learning Polish as a foreign language at Level A (Basic Level)
Materials for children who are beginning to learn Polish as a foreign language at Level A (Basic Level). These materials will be particularly useful for children who understand what is said to them but need support in developing their language skills in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension. Bilingual instructions in Polish and English will aid comprehension for children who read better in English.
At the elementary level (level A), we recommend the following series:
I like Polish
With Ania through Poland
Polish step by step
Start, hop
I'm first class
Textbooks for learning Polish as a foreign language at level B (intermediate level)
At level B (intermediate level), we recommend the textbook series by Małgorzata Pawlusiewicz, which was created specifically for Polish schools abroad.
The greatest advantage of this series is that the amount of material and lesson units are tailored to the number of classes in Saturday school (32-35 classes per year, 3-4 hours per week).
These textbooks provide students with continuity of learning, as each textbook builds on the previous one.
This series is used by Polish schools worldwide, including over 200 schools in the UK and Europe. The author of the textbooks, Małgorzata Pawlusiewicz, has many years of experience teaching children abroad and training Polish teachers.
We also recommend other books and resources that can be used as supporting material in learning Polish as a foreign language.

What textbooks should I use when working with children for whom Polish is a second language?
This question has likely been asked by every Polish teacher who has used textbooks published in Poland.
Sunday schools operating outside Poland teach Polish with elements of Polish history and geography, devoting 3-4 hours per week to teaching. In such a short time, it's impossible to cover all the material contained in textbooks prepared for schools in Poland. These textbooks are either not fully used by students or are used by the student for two years of study. This solution causes confusion and often contributes to discouraging the child from further learning.
The most popular solution for Polish Saturday schools is materials written specifically for their needs. Małgorzata Pawlusiewicz's textbook series is just such a series, which proves particularly effective in working with Polish children. Both students and teachers enjoy the textbooks.
They are also used by parents who teach their children Polish themselves and want to do so systematically, using proven and thoroughly prepared materials.
